That's right. I'm back! Now you're probably thinking, how was Model UN? Keywords of the trip: thought-provoking, hilarious, tired, fooooood. Personal relationships are down 15% while the envy of Chicagoans is up 450%. Many under-lying pissy currents ran throughout the weekend, culminating last night in the drama of a close friend finding out a very big secret. It's really terrible. The whole situation just is so screwed up! There is a plethora of "If Only"s.

Hmm.. I was going to keep a journal every day about what happened each day at MUN, but that kind of fell to the wayside. I'll try to give one highlight each day. Highlight of the Day: Mr. N. Pyati! He was one of the assistant chairs in our (Supi, Omo, Ayesh, and I) committee, the World Food Programme. Supi, Omo, and I all thought he was a cutie, so spur of the moment, we decided to send him a note that read "Are you free for dinner tonight?" and sign it as from Hong Kong, who was a never-present country. We were giggling helplessly as the page took him the note, especially Supi.

Reportedly, he read it and somewhat grinned.

So fast forward about a half hour to another note that read "If not dinner, how bout drinks?". This led to another note that said we weren't alcoholic, but to write us back anyway.

Eventually we asked him to scratch his nose if he wanted us to reveal ourselves. Of course, this was silly, because there was no way we could just keep staring at his nose without seeming conspicuous, so in our next note (ooh yes, Ayesh was in on this from the beginning cause she thought it was pure entertainment), we told him to flip the pad of paper on the easel back one page, then forward again. He flipped it back, but never flipped it forward. Therefore, we were rather confused.

Finally, on the last day, we each wrote two letters of Hong Kong and held all of it up. He didn't even notice at first, but then another assistant chair nudged him and he was kind of like 'oooh'. Later on, we talked to the AC that nudged him and he said that Pyati had said "Ah, they have revealed themselves". It was great! We never got to talk to him though. Sad. But that is the one highlight that I am sharing today.
