I organized my desk today and found old programs. I've been to quite a few shows actually! One, in particular, caught my attention. I realized that I haven't written about Naked Boys Singing, which was quite an experience.

Halloween was the day my voucher to NBS expired, so I took a cab on over. I was "lucky" enough to get a front row seat, one of five. So I got the close-up look of EVERYTHING. It was unbelievably awkward, especially when they would come right up to the edge of the stage. I didn't know where to rest my eyes.

So, I thought I ought to write about that before I forget about it in the future.

Yesterday night I saw Ravi Shankar perform with his daughter, Anoushka! The whole history of Shankar and Norah Jones (Anoushka's half sister) is very fishy--I can't find a definite story of what happened, whether Shankar left Norah and her mother to marry another woman, or if Norah's mom left him... etc. Very shady.

The performance, however, was beautiful. So soothing. I fell asleep several times. Completely sold out too. Had dinner last night in Chinatown for $6. Oh yeah.

Saw one of my fave authors from middle school. I can't wait to read her new book.

I hope y'all read the Smoking Gun cause there's a hella lot of good stuff there. For something creepy: Green River Killer confession. For something just plain weird: Man Jailed in Female Prison. For someting salacious: Paris Sued for Slander.

Damn good stuff. Now off to "work."
