Went to the Ricki Lake Show taping today. Was one of my favorite topics too! "Wow, Look At Me Now!" Basically, amazing transformations. I, however, have never been a big fan of the Ricki Lake Show. I only went because my roomie happened to have tickets she wouldn't be using. I myself prefer the Maury show.

Would make some sort of observation on class differences and Portguese, but am too tired for yelling and screaming for something I didn't enjoy after the first ten minutes. The people on the show were really bad actors. Either that, or they were nervous. Or they had rehearsed everything already. But baaad.

What else has happened in the past week? I saw Die Frau ohne Schatten last Friday at the Met. Suzanne and I were late, so we had to watch the opera in the viewing room for the first hour and fifteen minutes. I fell asleep. The set was very futuristic, with mirrors, flashy lights, and what looked like bacterial slides showing in the background. It was a big no no for me. I prefer the classic.. I liked Marriage of Figaro much better. Perhaps it was also the lack of previous exposure to DFoS--the music was beautiful, but unfamiliar. And you know humans prefer the known to the unknown.

And well, the rest of the days passed like all the others do. Ooh, and as for that one juicy bit of gossip I discovered--well, good luck.

I can't wait to get home!
