Media update:
Finished reading High Maintenance by Jennifer Belle yesterday. Ugh. Ugh, ugh, ugh. From now on, I am not going to trust reviews of books. This book was supposedly 'wickedly witty' and 'irresistible.' Huh, more like 'crazily insane' and 'train-wreck fascinating.' It was about a New York gal, Liv Kellerman, who has a famous father but wants to be independent. So she becomes a realtor, and has a relationship with a really disgusting guy. The only reason I kept reading was because I was desperately hoping there was a point to the entire book. There wasn't. I absolutely do not recommend the book. She went out with a guy who bit her ear off! And she still wanted to date him! Abhorrent. So now I'm starting The Blue Sword by Robin McKinley. I read the prequel, The Hero and the Crown, and though I never felt quite close to the character, the story was engrossing. McKinley uses a third person tone which is sometimes lofty, and rings of "I KNOW this is going to be a classic." Also, need to read The Odyssey for class. I've been listening to my iPod mix of Center Stage songs. Oh yeah, Jamiroquai rocks my socks off. Watching? Just finished downloading the last episode of Sex and the City. I really don't understand Carrie and Aleks relationship. He feels like such a father figure. I say no no no. He is rather sweet though.
