Just got back from Aquavit. I feel like I am always writing about food. Does this bore you all? I am mostly writing so that I will remember these delicious experiences in the future.. to avoid repetition on my part during restaurant week.
Anyway. The food was absolutely heavenly. Appetizer for me was pea soup with curried shrimp salad, which was all right bordering on great. Then main entree was crispy salmon with caviar and white bean salad. Oh goodness, was the salmon amazing. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, seasoned perfectly with dill and salt. The caviar wasn't too shabby either--each egg burst with tons of flavor as I ate the salad. Dessert was the arctic circle, or goat cheese parfait with passionfruit center and berry sorbet. Mmmmmmm.
Then after, Mike and I took a taxi back. Ultimate in luxury!
Le sigh.
Ooh and now Samantha is coming tonight! Yay! Also I really hope the Puerto Rico trip will work out. Just feeling in general happy, especially after talking to certain people.
