So this weekend was nice.. blissful in relaxation and hanging out with friends whom I don't normally get to see during the week.
One of the highlights? Suzanne: I like guys that are pale and sickly. Boy did we have a good laugh at that one! Hahaha. Man, whichever guy that Suzanne ends up with is going to be one lucky man. Pale and sickly men aren't usually so in demand, you know.
Also filmed a movie.
Bet that got your attention, eh? Sorry to raise your hopes up like that. I was actually in a film made by my friends on the floor here--Jon, Andres, and Steve. I got to play a girl who is dumped by her loser boyfriend (Steve). It was easy to pretend anger when I thought of a certain someone in Steve's place.
But I got my vengeance, cause then Steve gets stabbed in the hand by the Joker (Andres) and dies with lipstick on his mouth, in the Joker grin. That was lots of fun, doing the makeup of Andres and Steve. Steve (while I am applying his lipstick): It's like I'm kissing Andres! Damn straight.
Then Saturday went to the library to pick up my many items waiting in reservation for me. That is true glee, knowing you've got lots of goodies waiting for you at the library. Got The Office series 2 finally! So Jon and I watched that last night and laughed hard. Watched Much Ado About Nothing at the library in the afternoon--it was being done by the Instant Shakespeare Company, and basically it was a reading.
I realized how much I miss acting--just putting on the costume, feeling like you're part of a family at a theater, the exciting nervousness before you go on stage, not knowing exactly if it'll all turn out all right. Perhaps I will still pursue acting. I also realized how much costumes and memorized lines (the actors were reading from a play book) added to the make-believe.
Tonight: Spiderman 2!!! I can't wait to see this. I will report back!
