Mourning the death of Peter Jennings...
I grew up watching him on ABC World News Tonight with my father. I'll never forget his voice, the rich, calm quality of it will never be again.

In other news, Dana Reeve, Christopher Reeve's widow has lung cancer. It was on the front page of USA Today and, I'm sure, many other newspapers as well. This disturbs me greatly. I'm sorry, I'm sure Dana Reeve has done plenty of good things, but what is she famous for? Marrying Christopher Reeve. Does her having lung cancer warrant front page news?
Our society is going down the shithole.

i was kinda taken aback too. You just get so used to hearing their commentary on the life of everyone and how the world spins, that you just think they'll be there forever...I'll be all in tears when Tom Brokaw is gone; I was devastated watching him try and push forward thru his final presidential broadcast. The amount of respect I have for that man rivals only that of MLK.
And goodness, Dana reeves? I really don't know what we're all gonna have to do to change things. I daresay that our work is piling up in front of us in order to change the future and the society. I feel it might be a losing battle, but as long as there are those that fight and keep pushing change, everything will be alright.
