Gay pride weekend!

Yesterday attended the gay pride parade which was wonderful--such a festive atmosphere! All this glitter and flash and dash as each float or marching group passed by. And buff half-naked men walking around. Mmm.

Then went to Avalon last night to club it up with Alex, Tony, and Nacho (? I swear to god this is what they were calling him). Oh my god I have found my true clubbing style--gay clubbing. Believe me, ladies, if you haven't gay clubbed yet, you need to now.

First off, there's no pressure about how you look, cause haha, no one is interested. Second, there's none of that I-am-a-passive-creature-to-be-dry-humped. I hate when guys just lazily mosey up behind you and expect you to grind up against them. Last night was the first time I was comfortable grinding with another guy because I knew the guys weren't trying to get off with me. Third, they play the best music EVER. Definitely girly music. Last, there are tons of good looking half naked men surrounding you. What more could you ask for?

People disturb me.

Randy Legal Eagle Busted - lawyer solicits wife of prospective client for sex and a lesbian performance in lieu of fees.

Defrocked Dentist in Semen Suit - what is it with dentists and injecting random substances into unsuspecting people's mouths?! it makes you have more reason to fear going to the dentist than ever before.

Official Portrait of Jennifer Wilbanks - i am strangely fascinated with this woman's story. is it her creepier-than-thou eyes? her detailed lies about her alleged sexual assault? for someone who has vowed to remain chaste until marriage (which i think, at 32 years, would probably drive anyone insane) she sure knows an awful lot about the birds and bees.

Lalalala.

It's grey/sunny/humid/disgusting out. Weather is soooo interesting, no?

Anyway. Watched MTV Movie Awards last night with Billy, Carolyn, Jason, and Suzi. Billy was on fire, I tell you. Shooting off catty remarks like there was no tomorrow. Hilarious. And of course, we gossiped. And marveled at the craziness of Tom Cruise.

Then Joyce came over as everyone was leaving and we watched Britney & Kevin: Chaotic. It was the first time I'd seen it. I know, I know. You're all gasping in surprise because usually I would be the first one to watch it and probably tell everyone about how trashy and wonderful it is. But no. God, it was so inane. I felt my brain turning into green goo. Not even good inanity, with salacious bits, but bland inanity. Like you are trying way too hard, Britney.

And surprisingly, last night was the first time in a while that I'd really sat down and watched telly. My internship is going well and keeping me busy two days of the week. The other days I spend out and about, either with friends or Jason or by myself. If only the weather was nicer...

Sorry y'all, for the long hiatus.

We had issues with the server (as always) but now we should be up and ready to go.

I'm sure you've all been absolutely crazy from lack of exciting updates.. so here we go!

First. I met my favorite author of six years. Sherwood Smith. You've never heard of her, but I actually got to have breakfast one-on-one with her and it was positively eye opening and very very interesting.

I've basically been go go go ever since I got back from Minnesota. Going out with friends, going to my internship, traveling to Jersey, seeing Maliha again after forever!, seeing two concerts which were really really great (Brazilian Girls and Louis XIV) except that each was marred by lesbians without the concept of a personal bubble and an ear-splitting whistling drunk, respectively.

What's coming up? Restaurant week, hanging out with more people (I'm so excited that so many people are in the city this summer), and cooking classes!
