I still have too much stuff!!!! How is it possible for me to have so much stuff?! I am only a small girl yet I have, like, a million pounds of STUFF. I really need to be more Zen.

I have another three days left in the city before I go to Jersey and then London.

I used to dread the thought of London, but now I'm rather looking forward to it. I've always been a fan of the Brits what with their comedies and their teas and their accents. But I think my mindset is more of a vacation mindset right now.. I'm thinking like I'll only be there for a few weeks or so when really it's going to be for FOUR MONTHS. I don't think that's sunk in yet.

...

P.S. I am so so sorry Em for forgetting to get you the Quartet copy. I promise you'll get it in January or else.

Kill My Wife, Please [smokinggun]

??! Why? What could this poor woman have done to you? She seems game enough to play dead to keep you away from her...

Mourning the death of Peter Jennings...

I grew up watching him on ABC World News Tonight with my father. I'll never forget his voice, the rich, calm quality of it will never be again.

How depressing.

...

In other news, Dana Reeve, Christopher Reeve's widow has lung cancer. It was on the front page of USA Today and, I'm sure, many other newspapers as well. This disturbs me greatly. I'm sorry, I'm sure Dana Reeve has done plenty of good things, but what is she famous for? Marrying Christopher Reeve. Does her having lung cancer warrant front page news?

Our society is going down the shithole.

And I'm also becoming more of a bitch. Out, New York, out!

I've just finished one of the best books I've read in a while:

The Last Song of Dusk by Siddharth Dhanvant Shanghvi

I cried.

Course it could be the extra estrogen in my body. But still.

Open letter to all Honda owners

(But non-honda owners can read it and sympathize)

Word of advice, since I couldn't find any information online about this:

Strand books also pays diddly squat for used books.

I went in with a small suitcase-full of books and ended up coming out with about $22.

Classy, right?

Wahh packing time again.

I don't know how our ancestors did it.. the whole nomad existence. Blegh.

Maybe I can throw away lots of things and be like Buddhist or something. Somehow I don't think that's going to happen, for some reason.
